Do UK Sponsorship destinations require 6 frames of mute?

All TV destinations in the UK require 6 frames of mute at the start and end of the commercial.

This does not apply to Sponsorship destinations, although there are some exceptions.

When selecting Sponsorship in the UK please choose from either of the following Ad types

16:9 TV Sponsorship with slate

16:9 TV Sponsorship with slate (0 frames mute)

Sponsorship destinations that do require 6 frames of mute are:

Channel 4 Sponsorship

Channel 5 Sponsorship

HGTV | Really Sponsorship

UKTV Sponsorship

All other UK sponsorship destinations do not require 6 frames of mute

Please note that although it is possible to send Sponsorship files with 6 frames of mute to destination that accept 0 frames mute, the reverse is not true. You cannot send files with 0 frames mute to destinations that require 6 frames mute. In this instance the files would be rejected by the broadcaster.
