Intentionally Quiet (IQ) Ads

In the UK and Ireland ads must adhere to the audio requirements of the UK Tech Specs. 

This is defined as EBU R128 -23LUFS (+/- 0.5LU).

In some instance ads may have been given exemption from this requirement by specific broadcasters.

If that is the case it is possible to send ads via Peach Connect that do not meet this technical specification, and in fact have audio that measure at a lower level than normally required.

This is referred to as an Intentionally Quiet (IQ) ad.

To deliver IQ ads via Peach Connect please create you campaign and ad as per normal. Then please contact the Customer Success team via chat who will enable the QC to allow the IQ file to pass.

The ad can then be uploaded as per normal.

Please Note: All files uploaded must include audio channels, even if these mute. Video only files will fail QC.

Please Note: You should contact the broadcaster directly to confirm they will accept an IQ ad. Peach Connect cannot be held responsible for rejection at the broadcaster if prior permission has not be obtained.
