An .xmp file stores metadata about Adobe application files, created upon export from Adobe programs.
This is only usable in the Adobe Software environment and therefore not compatible with Peach Connect.
When exporting a file on Adobe Premiere Pro or Media Encoder you will have the option to remove this.
When ready to export in Premiere Pro:
- Click on File (Top menu bar)
- Select Export -> Media
- Disable the Metadata tab (see image below)
When ready to export in Media Encoder:
- Right-click on your Export job in the Queue
- Select Export Settings
- Select Metadata... (bottom left corner)
- Expand Export Options
- Select Off (or Embed in Output File if Off is not available)
Please note:
If you use the Peach Preset available for download at the end of our Premiere Pro export guide, the correct option will be automatically selected for you upon export.
