To send advertising spots to analog television channels in Argentina and Uruguay, we need to consider that these countries use two television standards (encoding systems) for this purpose: PAL and NTSC.
The formal meaning of NTSC is "National Television Standards Committee," and PAL stands for "Phase Alternating Line." Both are ways to send a video signal to a display device, primarily televisions using analog signals.
The important thing to note is that we always have to consider the following when sending to television channels in Argentina and Uruguay:
Open and Regional Television channels in Argentina/Uruguay only accept files in PAL format (1080/50i: 25 fps).
Pay Television or Cable channels in Argentina/Uruguay only accept files in the NTSC standard (1080/60i: 29.97 fps).
We provide technical specifications for correctly exporting a file depending on where it will be sent: Open/Regional TV or Cable/Pay TV. If the spot will go to both segments, then it must be exported in both formats.
