In Chile, shipments to Open TV must be made by adding a code called "Megatime Code." This code is numeric and typically consists of 6 digits (though it may increase over time), for example: 906151.
The purpose of clients and agencies hiring the services of the company Megatime is to analyze competitors' advertising activity and check their own investment in various advertising media (TV, Radio, Internet, among others) through the Megatime code.
The Megatime code is managed with the company Megatime by Media Agencies, who provide it to Creative Agencies and/or Production Companies so that they can send it to the open television channels:
- TVN
- MEGA
- Canal 13
- La Red
- Chilevisión
- TV+
These 6 channels require this code when receiving spots on their servers. The code is checked by the commercial area of each television channel as it is associated with a contracted exhibition schedule; therefore, media agency executives are responsible for the Megatime code.
When sending to Open TV in Chile from another country, the foreign creative agency making this shipment must contact the media agency handling the account/client in Chile and request the Megatime code to add it to the metadata before sending.
As seen in the form when creating a new advertisement for Open TV shipments in Chile, the Megatime code must be entered in the box bearing its name:
