Quality Control (QC) - Audio Mapping - Channels Per Stream / Audio Streams

Issue

Incorrect audio layout - Two channels of audio are present in one digital stream.

Description

The left and right audio channels have been grouped together within one digital stream.

Peach Connect requires that each audio channel has its own discrete stream.

The left channel should be present on stream one, the right channel on stream two. If both left and right audio channels are present on stream one this will fail the QC.

Fix

Re-export the file from your edit suite using the correct audio layout parameters.

Your editing software will give you the option to breakdown the audio into two separate/discrete audio streams.

Note

The left and right audio channels should be slightly different – if the left and right audio channels are identical it might be flagged by broadcasters. This is called Dual Mono audio.
